Our Story

Our Story

A feeling you carry with you

The Gypsy wanders. The Hippie stays.

Gypsy & the Hippie isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a feeling you carry with you long after you leave.

Born from a young Filipino family’s love for travel, nature, and the quiet magic of the Philippines, Gypsy & the Hippie was created as a space for kindred spirits — those chasing adventure, connection, and moments that actually matter.

Set right on the beachfront of Corong-Corong, we designed the space to feel more like a home than a hostel. It’s relaxed, soulful, and intentionally simple — because here, the ocean is the star. The sunsets, the breeze, the rhythm of island life… we just built everything around it.

We offer the comfort of a boutique stay — comfortable beds, thoughtful details, and clean, beautiful spaces — while keeping the openness and connection of a hostel. It’s where solo travelers meet new friends over coffee, couples unwind after a day in the sun, and everyone finds their own pace.

Inspired by the spirit of the Gypsy and the Hippie — free, grounded, and a little nostalgic for simpler times — this is a place for slow travel, real connections, and barefoot living.

Come for the adventure. Stay for the sunsets. Leave with stories.
